Hi, I’m Ayla, the maker behind Ruya Creations. I create handcrafted bags from recycled sails, giving new life to materials that have travelled the world. Each bag has a story—built to be durable, functional, and sustainably made.
I started this business with a passion for craftsmanship and a commitment to reducing waste. Working from my home studio, I personally design and sew each piece, ensuring quality and attention to detail. You can find my bags at local markets and select stores, and I’m always exploring new ways to make sustainable fashion both stylish and practical.
Rüya—the Turkish word for “dream”—is the name of our sailboat and the perfect symbol for this journey. Over the years, I’ve recycled more than 50 sails, transforming them into unique, high-quality bags. What started as a passion project has grown into a thriving small business, and I’m excited for everything 2025 has in store!
